1.What outcomes from MUREE are helping to form a national strategy for renewable energy? |
The necessity to elaborate a new Energy strategy oriented to the promotion of the renewable energies can come from two different approaches:
1) "Top down": the Government looks for new, more efficient and cheaper tecnhologies in order to reduce the energy costs, the dependance from other Countries and the pollution.
2) Botton up": the increasing awareness of population on the effects of conventional sources stimulates a new market and new policies.
MUREE can support this change, showing that an cheaper and more sustainable alternative to conventional sources exists and the Country is ready to adopt them because it has experts able to support the change.
